Dear Rob:
In light of recent events, including the article concerning the Groton Representative
Town Meeting (RTM) in the June 12, 2020 New London DAY, I am formally requesting
that you consider offering Training to Volunteer Waterford Elected and Appointed
Officials on Race Relations and Equality, emphasizing the changes in what might have
been acceptable in the past but is no longer consider acceptable.
I suspect that there may be a training syllabus for Town Employees that might be tailored
to the unique status of a volunteer. CCM may have already developed such a
presentation or a request might prompt them to do so.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. 1 believe that it is important as Waterford
moves forward in this new environment.
