CHRISTOPHER R. JONES August 1, 2023 2) m RTM Moderator a a Mt. Paul Goldstein ed 15 Rope Ferry Road B 3 Waterford, CT 06385 P55 om sO fon} es) oS To Whom It May Concern: I respectfully submit this letter and my resume for the Waterford Police Commission position. My experience on various local boards and my activity within the Waterford community make me the best fit for this position, and I ask that you consider my application. For over a decade, I have served on multiple boatds where I have held leadership positions including chairpetson. My strengths are administration and management, public policy and safety, and general oversight. Whether it be active listening, data analysis, performance reviews, or governance, I will provide discernment and efficiency to the commission. I have experience working as a first tesponder and an educator, and a restaurant manager, and I am a caring citizen of Waterford, who intimately understands the impottance and positive influence of diversity and equity. Words cannot express the passion I have to be named to the Waterford Police Commission. As an African American man, I feel it is vital to have a commission that includes someone with the skillset, expetience, education, and love I have for our community. You will find that along with my team- first mentality, I have the experience to ensure out town’s needs are met while understanding the political pressures that exist. What my resume cannot show is my desire, enthusiasm, and attention to detail in everything I do. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the opportunity to serve on the Waterford Police Commission. Thank you for your time and consideration. Respectfully, Christopher R.
