259 Noank Ledyard Road Page | 1 Mystic, CT 06355 150 BUTLERTOWN ROAD SUBDIVISION APPLICATION STORM WATER OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE PLAN March 11, 2025 This Storm Water Operations and Maintenance Plan is being submitted as part of the 150 Butlertown Road Subdivision Application package and in concurrence with Section 25.6 of the Town of Waterford Zoning Regulations. This plan covers all storm water mitigation measures incorporated into the 150 Butlertown Road Subdivision site plan set including but not limited to the riprap swales, driveway cross culverts and the storm water detention basins. The implementation of and compliance with this plan is the responsibility of property owners of Proposed Lot A. The storm water mitigation components proposed as part of the development of Lot A of the 150 Butlertown Road Subdivision – riprap swales, cross culverts and storm water detention basins – shall be inspected at least annually but also after significant storm events by the property owners. Annual Inspection Checklist and Maintenance Activities: Inspect all riprap swales for vegetation and plant growth – cut back and remove all vegetation Inspect all riprap swales for sedimentation and debris – remove all sediment and debris Ensure that each driveway cross culvert is clear of all sediment and debris Inspect and ensure that each stormwater detention basin catch basin overflow is clear of all sediment and debris. Clear all sediment and debris from catch basin sumps and grates. Ensure that each stormwater detention basin overflow discharge pipe is clear of all sediment and debris. Inspect the cover provided over each of the driveway cross culverts – ensure at least 12 inches of material is maintained Inspect the inlets and outlets of each of the driveway cross culverts for material loss, erosion or scour – repair and replace material as needed Inspect the down-gradient area of each stormwater detention basin overflow discharge riprap apron for erosion – repair all evidence of erosion with sustainable vegetative cover and add to riprap apron as necessary. Review the condition of the vegetation immediately outside of the storm water detention basins – ensure vegetation is maintained and well established Brush hog and remove all debris from within the storm water detention basins as needed and at least once every 3 years Review the condition of the driveway for any evidence of erosion or rutting – repair as needed Review the condition of vegetation along the cut embankment of the driveway – ensure vegetation is maintained and well established 259 Noank Ledyard Road Page | 2 Mystic, CT 06355 All maintenance shall be performed in a timely manner to maintain functions of the storm water mitigation system as proposed within the 150 Butlertown Road Subdivision Application.
