The Fire Services Review Special Committee, composed of five voting members representing the BOS,
RTM, and BOF and advised by a team of five emergency service professionals, met over 4 years and
collected, tabulated, and evaluated Fire Services information. This information was compiled into a Final
Report.
In addition to the compiled information, the Report provides commentary and advances common sense
recommendations for key areas of Fire Services, provides a framework for a strategic plan, and is a solid
tool for the incoming Director of Fire Services.
At the Committee’s July 9 meeting, the membership voted 3-2 to approve and release this Report to the
RTM for acceptance.
Based upon this, I respectfully request that the RTM accept this Report as the product of the
Committee’s collective effort.
