Dear Mr. Brule:
Proposals for the above-mentioned bid were opened on June 30, 2022 by then
Assistant Director Waterford Utility Commission Jim Bartelli and Finance Director Kim
Allen with the attached results. However, upon reviewing submissions, the lowest
bidder Tucker Mechanical was significantly above budget. As @ result, 1 respectfully
seek the Board's approval to reject all bids as.a way forward Is determined.

ine 0-2022, the purchasing agent opened bids for the upgrade of the Old Norwich Rd and Cross Rd
sewer pumping stations.
: ne lowest: responsive bid was Tucker Mechanical from Meriden, CT in the amount of $3,489,843
¢ current available funding for this project is $1,443,550 this represents an insufficiency of $2,046,293
Considering the bid amounts received far exceed our available funding, it is hereby requested that bid
#22-128 be rejected. The Utility Commission will reevaluate this project in the future,
