To whom if may concern,
Hello, my name it Warren MacKenzie and | was informed there was a spot on the Historic
Properties Commission for the town of Waterford CT. First of all thank you for any and all considerations
on my behalf. As a life long resident of the State of Connecticut, having only spent a few years taking
fours of America I can firmly say that New England and in particular our jewel of Long Island Sound
Waterford is the nicest place in America!
One thing in particular that makes Waterford and New England as 4 whole distinctive out of the
rest of the world is our tich history. In New England it is almost impossible to tell that rich history
without if revolving around and being directly tied to the properties and land. Much ofa families history
and ethos is greatly tied with the land they curate and how their professions shaped the property which
they owned. Not to mention the civic buildings and Municipalities dotting the land. From the grist mills to
the abandoned institutions, woebegone graveyards along with foundations that haven't held a structure
since colonial mes there are many little known facts, oral histories, and well known histories associated
with almost every inch of all of Connecticut, Waterford for certain.
With this in mind and knowing the special association properties have with the history of our
great town, it would be my honor to be a member of the historic properties commission to ensure that our
history and the property that represents that history is correctly curated so our great history can be shared
with future generations and serve as a reminder of the humble beginnings New Englanders have
prospered from.
Thank you most sincerely,
Warren MacKenzie
