Submissions for the above mentioned bid were opened on June 21, 2021 by, Maryellen
McConnell, Ed. Crane and I with the attached results. However, the price of
$75,072.60 subenitted by the lone bidder is way above the town’s budget. As a result, I

Please accept this as a request for a special meeting with the Board of Selectman in
order to review the recent bids for the purchase of 28 desktop computers to replace
antiquated systems.
| have spoken with Finance Director Kim Allen, who has advised me that we have
met the requirements of the Town of Waterford Ordinance by putting the project out
for bid. It has also been brought to my attention that only one bid was received and
the bid was nearly 50% higher than the line item transfer that | had originally
submitted to the Board of Selectmen to cover this purchase. |! would like to discuss
options with the Board so that we are able to move forward with the purchase of the
28 laptop computers.
