Re: Fire Safety to Quaker Hill Residents
Back in February of 2018, the former first selectmen met with Quaker Hill
residents after which news leaked out about removing 1 firemen from the Quaker
Hill and Goshen Fire Company. I recall his comment that if this does not work out
we will revert back to the way it was. Well that did not happen, aka LIE!
On August 15, 2020 the Fire Chief of Quaker Hill did YOUR job to inform the
resident of Quaker Hill what is going on with OUR firehouse. Shame on you Rob
for not attending and informing us what is happening to our beautiful section of
Waterford known as Quaker Hill.
Rob you would have heard first hand why manning Quaker Hill Firehouse is so
important to the Quaker Hill resident.
A few of the comments were:
Across the road from our Fire Chief home there was a house fire. No one at Quaker
Hill Firehouse so 15 minutes later Cohanzie Fire Department showed up the
ACTUAL RESPONSE TIME WAS 18 MINUTES!
On February 12, 2019 at 9am a call was made for an ambulance for a female who
has COPD is having breathing problem. Well that ambulance came out of
COHANZIE which went to the wrong address. This incident, Rob and Bruce
Miller (Director of Fire Services) I will NEVER FORGET. You see that
FEMALE WAS MY SISTER-IN-LAW!
My taxes do pay for fire safety. No fire safety | WANT my tax money refund back
to me!
If you town officials would STOP giving tax breaks to certain individual/groups
we would have money for 24 hours of coverage at Quaker Hill Firehouse.

Shame on both of you and Miller for jeopardizing the lives and safety of Quaker
Hill residents.
What are you going to do next cut police coverage to the Quaker Hill residents!?
I have been a resident of Quaker Hill for 60+ years with ties to Quaker Hill for
100+ years.
I strongly believe and your actions prove that you and Miller do not have ALL of
the residents safety in mind just a select few! With that being said, | feel that both
of you should resign period.
