Work to be completed at 44 Way Hill Road, Waterford include improvements to the
existing man made pond on the south side of the property.
First we will place hay bales down hill of the affected area, shown on plan. Then
temporarily dam water flowing south across Way Hill Road at the inlet and outlet of the
pond on property as indicated on site plan attached using sand bags. De-water the
pond as best as possible to excavate the accumulated sediment. The machine to be
used is a Volvo 160 excavator. The material dug out will be temporarily stock piled to
the south of the pond. Will let stand to allow water to drain from the material. We
expect to restore the depth of the pond to 8’-10’, an estimated 2-3’ of sediment has
collected. Then remove the sand bags used to dam the water and resume the normal
function of the pond. This work is expected to take 1-2 days. We expect the material to
be try enough to remove from the site within 1-2 weeks. We will haul from the site with
a tri-axle dump truck in 1 day. Restore the disturbed lawn to the west of the house
used for access, loam, rake and seed. Remove hay bales. The total duration of the
work is 2-3 weeks.
