Re: Status of Corrective Actions, 1122, 1124 Hartford Turnpike
Notice of Violation Issued May 26, 2022
Commissioners,
Staff re-inspected the premises at 1122, 1124 Hartford Turnpike on June 14, 2022 to verify the
required corrective actions were implemented within the specified 14 day time frame for
immediate site stabilization. The loose fill material has been removed from the wetland edge. A
wood chip berm has been installed along the north and west sides of the wetland behind the barn
to protect against sedimentation impacts. Wood chips are being removed from the immediate
wetland vicinity in the northwest portion of the site.
The property owner has notified the department that he has hired an engineering firm to prepare a
site plan of the existing conditions and delineated wetland boundaries identifying the limits of
unauthorized site clearing activity and proposed wetland/buffer restoration measures. This plan is
due to the Commission by July 15, 2022.
