Public Comment on RTM BOE VOTE
Tonight’s vote on the town budget is a huge deal for our town. We are in the midst of another
recession, one we've truly never seen before since The Great Depression. The proposed budget
cuts to programs and teachers are something J am very against. It seems all too often when there
is a crisis one.of the first cuts to anything is education. As a lifelong resident of Waterford and
having gone through Waterford Public Schools K-12 using some resources in special education,
this is the last thing that we need to cut. Teachers already have to buy supplies with their own
money and a paper shortage was always a problem when I was a student, Please, when you vote
on this budget, think of the consequences it may bring in the next school year.
