Mr. Campo:
I'm writing regarding the RTM's decision to cut the proposed Board of Education budget. I have had four
children go through Waterford schools, and I am concerned that such a significant cut is unwarranted.
Having watched the RTM meeting, I was surprised to see that the RTM had no specific concerns about
overspending in areas of the budget but instead seemed to have made up its mind to cut the budget before the
meeting. Mr. Elei made the point that the budget had been vetted already. The RTM does not have to go
through each item, but to not ask questions or raise concerns about any of the areas is problematic. I urge the
RTM to reconsider and if it aims to cut, then at minimum, to address which areas are of most concern.
