To: Waterford RTM:
Your recent vote to cut $470,000 from the Waterford Education budget was highly disappointing. The current budget
request had been vetted and fully laid out by Superintendent Giard and this decision appeared completely arbitrary. Due
to the pandemic it is outrageous to think that the school will not require even more funding in order to insure our students
safe return to on-site schooling.
The cut will certainly affect teachers, curriculum, and extracurricular's such as sports and the arts.. We have 2 children in
the Waterford school system, currently at QHES and CLMS. We could have moved to any town, but the quality of the
Waterford schools was the main reason that we chose to buy our home here. Please reconsider your harmful budget
decision.
Sincerely,
Bigi Ebbin & Eric Page
