Please accept the following email and petition on behalf of our daughter, Madeline Parent.

Dear Mr. Campo.
Below is a petition I created opposing the $470,000 cut from the proposed Waterford education budget.
Asa student in Waterford, I believe that our quality of education depends on the support we receive from the
budget, and if these cuts are’made, the quality of our education will go down. As an incoming high school
student, I am looking forward to the many opportunities provided at Waterford High, including the Arts and
athletics. | am concemed that this budget cut will impact many people, and will not help to uphold Waterford’s
high standard of education. Many of Waterford's students including me believe that as our town's next
generation, we should be provided with the best possible education, which may not be fully fulfilled with this
large budget cut.
This petition was created yesterday at 5:30 pm with the sole intent that students sign, so their voices could be
heard. My petition was spread through Instagram and Facebook, and not only did we receive many student
signatures, but also loads of support from the Waterford community.
Please accept this email and link to the petition to meet your 3:00 deadline. A printout of the petition signatures
will be made available by Change.org at 5:00 pm today. We will drop off a printout of the signatures and
comments before the 6:00 RTM meeting. I respectfully request that you submit the comments as input as well
as the signatures.
