Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender's email address and know the content is safe. Please do not cut the budget for schools. My children are at Oswegatchie and both use extra services provided by the school - one uses the occupational therapist and the other is getting help from the psychologist. My family would happily pay more to keep these services available for not only my kids, but all the kids. The same goes for the music, arts, and all other enrichment programs. We have amazing teachers and staff. They are creating growth opportunities for our kids where otherwise the children might have been more lost and anxious during this pandemic. Every single person and program that exists is part of this town’s success. | appreciate not wanting to burden those out of work, but these are the programs that help their children and their neighbor's children. Give them tax waivers if their taxes are slated to go up. To offset that potential revenue loss, ask those of us still working to pay more. So many people are looking for ways to help, especially in their communities. To cut the school budget beyond what has already been cut is unconscionable - the children need our financial support and the support of their school families now more than ever. ‘ Thank-you, Brooke Stutzman, Niantic River Rd.
