Dear Mr. Campo.
Below is a petition | created opposing the $470,000 cut from the proposed Waterford education budget.
As a student in Waterford, | believe that our quality of education depends on the support we receive from the budget, and
if these cuts are made, the quality of our education will go down, As an incoming high school student, | am looking
forward to the many opportunities provided at Waterford High, including the Arts and athletics. | am concerned that this
budget cut will impact many peopie, and will not help to uphold Waterford's high standard of education. Many of
Waterford's students including me believe that as our town's next generation, we should be provided with the best
possible education, which may not be fully fulfilled with this large budget cut.
This petition was created yesterday at 5:30 pm with the sole intent that students sign, so their voices could be heard. My
petition was spread through Instagram and Facebook, and not only did we receive many student signatures, but also
loads of support from the Waterford community.
Please accept this email and link to the petition to meet your 3:00 deadiine. A printout of the petition signatures will be
made available by Change.org at 5:00 pm today. We will drop off a printout of the signatures and comments before the
6:00 RTM meeting. | respectfully request that you submit the comments as input as well as the signatures.

Cuts to education should not happen, The budget proposed was
approved by both the Board of Finance and Board of Ed. It is a well
planned, already lean budget!"

"Short changing education and children is never a good idea.
Education and schools as we have seen is also kids’ safe places. They
nurture our students intellect yes but aiso their bodies and spirits.
We will need more services to help support children deal with the
after effects of this pandemic. So instead of cutting we should be
adding services for our students in psychology, counselors and arts
to help students be successful. Cutting the education budget is a
disservice to our children and the people who service them in our
schools, The people caring for our students need resources and
support in order to be effective, Cutting the budget will make our
school system less effective & our school personnel less effective.
Our children are worth whatever is needed to be effective. Let's
