Public Comment, FS Visitor Records
- Dear Board of Selectman/Selectwomen,
Over the past couple of weeks Waterford residents have visited FS Brule’s office in person to request a town wide
information meeting about NE Edge, LLC and the Data Center project. Those Waterford residents’ names are missing
from today’s agenda. | believe it would have been relevant to include them in line item 28.
As matters of transparency, | want to reiterate a previous request, that FS Brule conduct a town wide information
meeting about the Data Center project. | also ask the BOS to implement a sign in sheet at the entrance to the FS office to
record daily visits by anyone visiting the FS. Planned or unplanned. At minimum, a sign in sheet should document date
and time, first and last names of visitors, business name and address, resident address, and purpose of visit. That way,
those important visits can be recorded and referred to when necessary.
It might look something like this:

Dear Board of Selectman,
There are presently two petitions circulating. One, petitioning First Selectman (FS) Rob Brule to hold a
town wide public information meeting about the NE Edge, LLC Data Center project. The second, a
petition OPPOSED to further planning and construction of said Data Center.
Line item 28 of today’s Board of Selectman (BOS) meeting is titled Correspondence and lists familiar
names of Waterford residents with the words - Data Center Petition or Data Center Email next to them.
Neither offers substantive context. Of the petitions that | am aware of, one petition relates to FS Brule
not the Data Center while a second petition states OPPOSITION to the further development and
construction of that Data Center. Lastly, it would be helpful to elaborate on what Data Center Email
means. If only a sentence or two.
