Description of Proposed Activity

Description of Proposed Activity
Congregation Beth-El, Inc. has submitted an application to the Town of Waterford Conservation Commission requesting
approval to conduct regulated activities within an inland wetland and within 100-feet of an inland wetland associated with the
construction of a new synagogue.
The planned improvements consist of a 3,720 square foot footprint synagogue building and associated driveway, parking area,
sidewalk, waste and recyclables receptacle enclosure, building utility service, storm drainage, stormwater management facility,
exterior lighting, signage, fencing, and landscape improvements.
The building will be served by the Town of Waterford municipal water and sanitary sewer systems and public communication and
electric utilities located within the Kenyon Road right-of-way. All utilities will be installed underground.
The site work associated with the project includes erosion and sediment control, site preparation, clearing and grubbing, mass
earthwork, building foundation, trenching, backfilling, grading, sanitary sewer, water, communication, and electric utility, exterior
lighting, sidewalk, paving, pavernent markings, signage, fencing, landscape and turf establishment construction.
Earth fill is proposed to be placed within approximately 470 square feet of an inland wetland associated with access driveway
construction. The improvements within the 100-foot inland wetland upland review area include the planned building, parking
areas, sidewalks, waste and recyclables receptacle enclosure, building utility services, storm drainage, stormwater infiltration
area, exterior lighting, fencing, and placement of fill and grading.
