Public Notice of Title VI Program Rights The Town of Waterford gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with the non- discrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related Nondiscrimination authorities. Title VI and related Nondiscrimination authorities stipulate that no person in the United States America shall on the grounds of race, color, and/or national origin, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. Any person who desires more information regarding the Town of Waterford’s Title VI Program can contact its Title VI Coordinator – Dani Gorman, Human Services Administrator at 860-444-5839 or dgorman@waterfordct.org. Any person who believes they have, individually or as a member of any specific class of persons, been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin has the right to file a formal complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted within 180 days following the date of the alleged occurrence. Complaint forms can be obtained online at the Town of Waterford website: www.waterfordct.org Click on the Community tab and choose “ADA Information/Title IV”, a link to the Title VI Complaint Form is there or you can obtain forms in person at: Senior Services at the Waterford Community Center 24 Rope Ferry Road Waterford, CT 06385 Monday-Friday 8 am- 4 pm Title VI Complaint Procedures In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs or activities conducted or funded by the Town of Waterford may file a formal complaint.
