BID#23-121 Fargo Road Water Tank Recoating and Improvements

The purpose of this addendum is to provide information to Bidders.
Bidders are advised as follows:
1) Written Question from Plan Holder: “The scope of work calls for interior and exterior to be
recoated, on the interior is it just the wet area or the interior dry area also? The dry area is not
covered in the specifications or drawings.
Reply: Yes, the interior dry areas of the tank structure are required to be recoated. Below is a
specification for those areas:
Surface Preparation: SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast
Prime coat - Tnemec Series 94-H2O0 Hydro-Zinc 2.5 — 3.5 mils
Full Intermediate Coat: Tnemec Series 21 Epoxoline 4.0-6.0 mils
Top coat — Tnemec Series 21 Epoxoline 4.0-6.0 mils
2) Ouestions during Pre-Bid Meeting:
1. There is electrical or communications equipment inside the dry area of the tank. How
should the bidder work around this equipment?
Reply: The Town’s Communication Consultant will be responsible for either a)
relocating this equipment during painting, or b) covering the equipment so the
Contractor can complete their work.
2. Can portions of the security fence around the tank be removed during the project?
Reply: Yes, as long as the Contractor replaces it with new fencing of similar type,
height and quality.
