CT Audubon Birdwatching Workshop 
Join us for this outdoor, all ages program, registration is required. 
 
Location: Stenger Farm Park at 128 Clark Lane  
(across from Clark Lane Middle School) 
 
An educator from the Connecticut Audubon Society's Roger Tory 
Peterson Estuary Center will teach us how to use the Merlin and e-Bird apps for tracking bird sightings. 
These apps can be used to participate in a citizen science activity to help track this fall's bird migration  
during the "Big Day" bird count on October 12. Program funded by a grant from SciStarter in 
partnership with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios. Visit the Event Calendar on the library website

Documentary film “Flyways: the untold journey of migratory shorebirds” followed by a lecture at 
6:30PM with the CT Audubon Society recognizing World Migratory Bird Day 
Join us for a free screening of the extraordinary film, Flyways, to celebrate and learn more about this     
remarkable annual migration! Shorebirds fly thousands of miles each year along ancient and largely       
unknown migratory routes called Flyways.  
 
Lecture speaker is Joe Attwater, Conservation & Education Coordinator, The Connecticut Audubon Society, 
Roger Tory Petersen Estuary Center in Old Lyme.
