It's the birthday party of the year! Stop by the meeting room anytime between 10:30 
am and noon to wish our friendly K9 Hodges "Happy Birthday!" We will have snacks, 
crafts, and activities for the whole family. All ages are welcome; no registration required.  
 
*Please note: attendees do not need to bring a present but if you feel inclined, the gifts will be donated to the 
local animal shelter. While this is a birthday party for a dog, please leave your pet pups at home.

March Moon Madness: let's talk eclipses! 
Let's talk eclipses!  This March much of North America will witness a total lunar eclipse, followed a few 
weeks later by a partial solar eclipse. The total lunar eclipse happens on Friday, March 14th. The partial 
solar eclipse happens at dawn on Saturday, March 29th.  For this presentation we will have kids activities 
beginning at 5:30 pm with the visual presentation at 6 pm. Additionally, there will be binocular and tele-
scope viewing of the Moon, weather-permitting, courtesy of the Thames Amateur Astronomical  Society 
Dr. Leslie Brown of Connecticut College, will be here along with members of the Thames Amateur          
Astronomical Society (TAAS) and members of Stars to STEM Planetarium.
