Moreshead (who submitted a letter regarding the use of pollinator pathways to the committee) joined the meeting. Chad addressed her concerns and the use of pollinator pathways and plantings. When the project reaches that phase these topics will be posted to the agenda, 3. PROJECT UPDATE C. Frost discussed the results from the testing done by B & L throughout pond. Testing results indicated that the first layer of organic material in the pond exceeds the residential thresholds for some contaminants. The material could be left undisturbed without causing a threat to people, but to improve water quality in the pond, the committee agreed that the material should be removed. The material cannot be re-used on site. It will have to be stored for up to year to dry out before being disposed of. The sub soil testing showed one area of hydro carbons. The test results show it will cost more than originally estimated for the dredging and the additional steps involved, including the disposal of material once cleared, Staff and committee members discussed funding available, the goals of the project and what is most important moving forward. There was discussion regarding the design plans as well as the pond water filtering system to be used. The idea for a roof over the platform will not be included moving forward. Action items for June 15, 2022: Cost estimates from Chad Frost for dredging and path consultation Phasing plan for project due to additional cost incurred from contamination Discuss additional funding Design concept for filter Consider what permits will be needed and length of time to obtain A moOD> ADJOURNMENT -— 7:42 pm MOTION: Made by T.
