DIRECTIONS TO TOWN HALL 
 
 
From Hartford area: Rt. 2 east to Rt. 11 south to exit 4.  At the stop sign go left onto Rt. 
82 east.  At the first traffic light turn right onto 85 south.  Travel approximately 20 miles 
until you reach the I-395 overpass.  About ¼ mile beyond the overpass at the traffic light, 
turn right onto Cross Road.  At the end of Cross Road, at the traffic light, go left onto 
Boston Post Road (Rt 1) for approximately 2 miles.  At the traffic light at the intersection 
of Avery Lane, turn right onto Avery Lane.  At the end of Avery Lane, at the traffic light, 
turn left onto Rope Ferry Road (Rt. 156).  Town Hall is on the left directly across from 
Waterford High School.   
 
From Norwich & the northeast: 
I-395 south to exit 77.  Left at the end of the exit 
ramp onto Rt. 85 south.  At the traffic light at the intersection of Rt. 85 & Cross Road, 
turn right onto Cross Road.  At the end of Cross Road, at the traffic light, go left onto 
Boston Post Road (Rt 1) for approximately 2 miles.  At the traffic light at the intersection 
of Avery Lane, turn right onto Avery Lane.  At the end of Avery Lane, at the traffic light, 
turn left onto Rope Ferry Road (Rt. 156).  Town Hall is on the left directly across from 
Waterford High School.   
 
From the New Haven area: 
I 95 north to exit 75.  Continue on Rt. 1 (Boston Post Road) 
for approximately 3 miles.  At the  5th  traffic light at the intersection of Avery Lane, turn 
right onto Avery Lane.  At the end of Avery Lane, at the traffic light, turn left onto Rope 
Ferry Road (Rt. 156).  Town Hall is on the left directly across from Waterford High 
School.   
 
From Rhode Island: I 95 south to exit 81.  At light turn left onto the service rd. At the 
2nd traffic light turn left onto Cross Rd. Go to 2nd traffic light turn left on to Boston Post 
Rd. (Rt. 1) Go to 2nd traffic light turn right onto Avery Lane.  At the end of Avery Lane, 
at the traffic light, turn left onto Rope Ferry Road (Rt. 156).  Town Hall is on the left 
directly across from Waterford High School.   

 
DIRECTIONS TO MUNICIPAL COMPLEX 
 
From the Hartford Area:  Take Route 2 East to Route 11 South to Exit 4.  At the stop 
sign, go left onto Route 82 East.  At the first traffic light go right onto Route 85 South.  
Travel approximately 20 miles until you reach the I-395 overpass.  About a ¼ mile 
beyond the overpass, turn right into Yost Home Improvement.  You will see a blue sign 
that says: Town of Waterford Municipal Complex. 
 
 
From Norwich and the Northeast: Take I-395 South to Exit 77.  Go left at the traffic light 
onto Route 85 South.  Travel approximately ¼ mile then turn right into Yost Home 
Improvement.  You will see a blue sign that says: Town of Waterford Municipal 
Complex. 
 
 
From the New Haven Area:  Take I-95 North to Exit 76.  This is a left lane exit onto I-
395 North.  From I-395 North, take exit 77 and turn right onto Route 85 South.  Travel 
approximately ¼ mile then turn right into Yost Home Improvement.  You will see a blue 
sign that says: Town of Waterford Municipal Complex. 
 
 
From Rhode Island: Take I-95 South to Exit 81.  At the stop sign turn left onto Parkway 
North.  At the first traffic light go left onto Route 85 North.  About 1/3 mile down on the 
left you will see a blue sign that says: Town of Waterford Municipal Complex.
