The permittee shall be in conformance with Section 3.42of the Zoning Regulations throughout the duration of this 
permit. 
 
3.42 
KEEPING OF POULTRY AND RABBITS (Effective Date 7/2/18)Purpose: This regulation is intended to 
permit the keeping of poultry and small animals by Zoning Compliance and in a manner that preserves 
neighborhood character. This regulation is not intended to limit agricultural uses where they are permitted. 
3.42.1 
Hens, geese, ducks, other poultry, and rabbits may be kept on any single family residential property as an 
accessory use by right provided that all of the following conditions are met: 
a. No more than two (2) hens, geese, ducks and rabbits shall be allowed per 7,500 square feet of property 
area, with a maximum total of ten (10) per property. 
b. Roosters are prohibited. 
c. 
A coop or building not to exceed a footprint of 6 x 8 feet and a height of 5.5 feet shall be provided. The 
structure shall be located in the rear yard, shall be screened from the street, and shall be at least 30 feet 
from all property lines. 
d. A fenced enclosure, at least 4 feet in height but no more than 6 feet in height providing at least 16 square 
feet per adult fowl or rabbit shall be provided. All fowl and rabbits shall be confined to the premises. 
e. 
All food, enclosures, and structures shall be secured in a manner so as to prevent the attraction of rodents, 
pests, and predators. The property shall be maintained to prevent odors and shall not create a public 
health or environmental hazard.
