MEETING MINUTES
May 22, 2023
Members Present: Chair Miriam Furey-Wagner, Nancy Sugrue, Traci Santos, Crissy Waggoner

1. CALL TO ORDER
M. Furey-Wagner called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
2. APPROVAL OF THE May 9, 2023 MEETING MINUTES
MOTION: Motion made by T. Santos, seconded by C. Waggoner, to approve the May 9, 2023
meeting minutes.
VOTE: 4-0
3. REVIEW OF: Review and discussion of Civic Triangle bid breakdown
J. Mullen and C. Frost updated the Committee on discussions conducted with Suchocki & Son, Inc.
regarding prioritized project elements and options for construction material types to reduce the project
cost. The streetscape will be removed from the bid and considered for a potential future capital project.
An additional appropriation for the pond dredging will be requested.
Alternate price quotes are being reviewed for the boardwalk railing and lighting elements. The contractor
has proposed using PermaTrak in lieu of IPE for the boardwalk which will include a substantial reduction
in the original bid price. The committee members reviewed brochure material for the PermaTrak and
supported its use for the boardwalk and bridges.
A revised bid amount will be prepared by the contractor and reviewed with the Committee at the next
meeting.
4. ADJOURNMENT
The Committee scheduled the next meeting for Monday, June 5, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
MOTION: Motion made by T. Santos, seconded by C. Waggoner to adjourn at $331 pm.
