     Waterford-East Lyme Shellfish Commission

                                                  Meeting Minutes
                                       Thursday, Jul 18, 2024

                                     East Lyme Town Hall, 7:00 pm


      Members present:  Peter Harris, Paul Spakowski, J Patrick Kelly, Larry
      Tytla, and Marcia Benvenuti, Rick Kanter,  and Tom Bowlen
      Members absent: Fred Wise
      Guests: Chief Warden Chmiel, ex-officio Don Mackenzie

   1) The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm and a quorum established.

   2)  Review and approval of previous meeting minutes:
           Amended June 20, 2024 Regular  Meeting  minutes  approved  on  a
           motion by Mr. Harris, seconded by Ms. Benvenuti, vote  5-1,  Mr.
           Spakowski opposed, Mr. Kanter abstained.


   3) Review and approval of treasurer’s report
           Mr.  Kelly  reviewed  the  Treasurer’s  report  sent  by  e-mail
           earlier.  Report was approved on  a  motion  by  Mr.  Spakowski,
           seconded by Mr. Tytla, vote 7-0.




         4) Chief Warden’s Comments : Chief Warden Chmiel gave his report to
            the commission.


   5) Old business:  Mr. Wise reviewed pricing on clam and oyster stock from
      various vendors as well as the potential for acquiring  scallop  seed.
      No action taken at this meeting.

   6) New Business
           No new business presented at this time.
           .


   7) Ex-Officio comments : Ex-officio Mackenzie had no town matters related
      to WELSCO.

   8) Correspondence : No correspondence was presented.



   9) Public Comment : No public comment


  10)  Adjournment : Meeting adjourned at 8:02 pm on a motion by Mr.
      Spakowski, seconded by Mr. Tytla, motion approved 7-0.
