Cteagho TOWN CLERK Members Absent: Joyce Viaun, Anne Darling Also Present: Dani Gorman, Human Services Administrator, Terry Wheeler, Assistant Director, Heidi McSwain, Human Services Coordinator, Meaghan Lineburgh, staff. Public: None I. Call to order: Chairlady Sanders called the Waterford Senior Citizens Commission Regular Meeting of December 6, 2022 to order at 4:04 p.m. i. Establish a Quorum: A quorum was established. IH, “Public Comment — No public NV, Approval of the meeting minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 25, 2022. Chairlady Sanders asked for additions, deletions, or corrections to the minutes. MOTION: Motion made by Dan Rissi, seconded by Dina Lopes to accept the meeting minutes as presented. VOTE: 5-0-1 (Kathleen McNamara abstained) Vv. Correspondence: Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut distribution Jody Nazarchyk jeft the meeting at 4:49 p.m. Vi, Committee Reports a. Budget Review and discussion on budget line items for proposed Fiscal Year ’24 budget. Dani Gorman went over the budget answering questions regarding increases and decreases per line. Funds were added for mental health services. Discussion on budget memo. This year’s budget reflects a 2% decrease from Fiscal Year ‘23 budget. MOTION: Dan Rissi made a motion to approve the proposed Senior Citizens Commission budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 in the amount of $484,296 plus or minus $5,000, seconded by Anita Collins. VOTE: 5-0-0 Waterford Senior Citizens Commission Regular Meeting Minutes December 6, 2022 Page 2 of 2 VIL Director/Assistant Director Report for November 2022. Highlights included new winter programs, beginner pickle ball will be offered, the Veterans’ luncheon was well attended and greatly appreciated by many. VII. New business — None IX. Adjournment x.
