Waterford Youth and Family Services Advisory Board Meeting Wednesday, March 8, 2023 In Person Attendance- M. Cristofaro, D. Gorman (Director), K. Elbaum, R. Muckle (Selectman), C. Muckle, L. Sachatello, B. Smith Absent: R. Brule (First Selectman), M. Balestracci (Chief of Police, M. Buscetto (Chairman), S. Cash, R. McNamara, J. Filapetti, E. McNamara, J. Dunkerly, T. Moore, B. Smith, D. Lane, J. Trelli, D. Valentine 1. Meeting was called to order at 5:00pm and quorum was established 2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting: Meeting minutes were approved by M. Cristofaro and seconded by L. Sachatello 3. Correspondence: No correspondence 4. Directors Report & Financial Report: D. Gorman reported that it is budget season and that the Youth and Family Services has been heard by of both the Board of Selectman and Board of Finance and have passed. Budget now moves on to the RTM. At the First Selectman’s request D. Gorman asked the board discuss and support/ not support relocating 2 Youth and Family Services staff people from 200 Boston Post Rd to the Community Center discussion followed and support granted. 5. Program Report: D. Gorman stated that recruitment for Camp DASH had started with many staff returning and that Camp DASH Director has been working and beginning to plan out the season. D. Gorman reported that Dancing with the Stars would be back this year with 12 teams dancing on April 21st. Tickets were on sale now and expected to sell out. 6. Student Report: B. Smith informed the board that change of leadership and administration have changed the dynamic of the school. Bringing in new clubs and that the high school hosted its first Unified Basketball Alumni game. 7. Old Business: No old business 8. New Business: No new business 9.
