Call to Order: Chairwoman Sanders called the Waterford Senior Citizens
Commission Regular Meeting of October 3, 2023 to order at 4:04pm.
Establish Quorum: A quorum was established
Public Comment: None
Approval of the minutes from August 24, 2023: Dina Lopes made a motion to approve
the minutes and was seconded by Anne Darling.
Vote: 5-0-2 (Rick Beany and Dan Rissi abstained)
Correspondence: Letter was sent stating that a donation had be made by the Senior
Citizens Commission in honor of Donna Payne’s retirement.
Committee Report
a, Budget- No Report :
b. Nominating Committee- No Report
c. Transportation Report: No Report except for the notification that one regular
driver stepped down from position and process to replace position had started,
d, Planned Giving Sub-committee: Discussed. Sub-committee meeting is scheduled
for October 24, 2023 at 3:00pm.
Director/Assistant Directors report for September 2023: Highlights included the fall
edition of the Loop going out to residents, ARPA Application was in the process of
being completed and that budget preparations and annual reports were beginning. A
general description of social services caseloads. A new program instructor had also
been brought on to facilitate programs. Discussion about Community Center was
also had,
New Business: Discussion about Age Well Collaborative

IX. Adjournment: Motion was made by Anita Collins, seconded by Anne Darling to
adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Waterford Senior Citizens Commission at
4:52p.m. Motion passed
